Thickness of each bead (from small to larger):





You might wonder why the bead with the smallest diameter is the thickest (and in reality it's still relatively thin, but more important than that, it's FLAT at it's thickest point).
I made it like this on purpose, so the small lentil has a well distributed mass. If it was too thin, there would be hardly any glass to work with, which is extremely difficult for beginners. So, this shape suits both demands: pleasing to look at AND easy to make.

Below is the picture of a bracelet I made just to try all the different sizes. The design is super easy but stunning at the same time: Black glass decorated with shards in DH Aurae. Press the lentils first and THEN add the shards if you like the textured surface, if you prefer a more subtle look, make a lemon shaped bead, add the shard, melt in and press then.
