Mona and her new best friend, 20 year old Chappy:

size is just a matter of where you stand in life....

Just a few pictures to show you that it's possible to "hang out" on a camel, when the sun is shining....

Mona and Kimberly

and Mona and Princess Corina (thanks for the Tiara Donna! I am not taking it off anymore! )

And Mona's new pasture pals:

This is Jack, the 19 year old thoroughbred (gelding) who was "donated" to us by a friend.......

the first two days Mona was not too happy, but after a little while they actually started tolerating each other and even staying within sight on the pasture....then about a week after Jacks arrival, another friend asked whether it was okay to bring her horse over from the mainland, until she had finished her move and got a fence up on her new property - and we didn't think much and said "sure, why not". Well, this is her 10 year old mare, Chappy

and now they are ALL confused....I am not sure whether Jack is jealous of Mona or of Chappy, but he makes sure that they don't get too close to each other. Most of the time the two horses hang out together, Mona is a little left out, and it looks like our good intentions backfired a little - maybe Mona feels like the "5th wheel" or something - but she still prefers the presence of humans over horses:
