Below are the measurements of beads made with the two "Large Lentil Easypresses". (flat and deep):

The large FLAT lentils are 1 1/8th inch in diameter.

As you can see in the bead on the right, the glass has to completely fill the WIDTH of the mold, otherwise the bead will not turn out round, but more straight around the hole. Not that there is anything wrong with that look, just as long as you know what to do in order to get what you want.

Decorated sample beads below!

The large DEEP lentils are also 1 1/8th in in diameter, here is a look at their thickness:

Taking a look at these two simple sample beads again, you will notice that the left bead is bigger than the one on the right, although both beads were pressed with lentils of the same diameter. The reality is that the thicker the lentils are, the more you can get away with under- or over-pressing, meaning: if you have a little too much glass for the mold, it is very simple to just flame polish the "overhang" and get a perfect bead, without having to take any of the extra glass off.

One of the things I like about the deeper lentils is the possibility of pressing encased designs without majorly distorting the design (I am going to make some encased pressed florals soon).

Below is a pressed Quark "deep lentil" - I have tried to make Quark lentils in the past, but they would squish the little dudas into oblivion. In this bead there is still some distortion, but not as bad as with the thinner lentils (sometimes it's so disappointing when the colors don't "pop" in the pictures, o well)
