Hi: My name is Siobhan. I am 22 yrs. old. I was in a bad car accident almost 2yrs. ago on Valentine's day. At that time I was working two jobs and going to college full time. I was working towards getting into the nursing program, as I want to be an RN. Because of this car accident I was forced to quit school due to my head injury and quit my job because of my neck and back injuries. I was beside myself! All I knew was pain, my house, and doctor appointments. No wonder I became very depressed (what else do you do when you are 21 and now everything you knew was just suddenly gone). It has been a hard and very LONG road but I am now working very part-time and am attempting to get back into school. I am hoping for January but due to the car accident and failing, I lost my financial aid. I was granted financial aid due to the fact that my father was deported to Poland when I was 11yrs. old and my mother died of a heart attack at age 40 when I was 18yrs. old. I now have joint custody with my grandmother of my two younger brothers whom I would not give up for the world!
I met Corina a little while ago and have searched and searched for something to bring me that inner peace feeling (as I see my grandmother has when she paints). I longed for it! I tried many arts and crafts but never found anything that just clicked for me. When Corina showed me how to make glass beads the first time, I was having a very hard day. After sitting at the torch for awhile I walked away with this unbelievably good feeling and what had happened that day did not seem to matter at all. At last I had found it! I don't think she will ever know how truly grateful I am for this amazing gift she has given me!
I hope that soon I will be able to make things with my own beads but for now, I have made the following with beads from Corina's Bead Box! I am hoping to be able to put myself through school and the key chains and rearview mirror charms is where I am starting. I know first hand that when in a vehicle you need all the luck you can get! I made them hoping that it will bring luck to whoever owns them in all their travels no matter how long or short the distance (I was only 8 miles from home)! Attached to the bottom of each key chain and rearview mirror charm is either an angel and an angel with a saying. Coming soon, some plain word charms that have a lot of meaning!
